Founded with an unyielding devotion to honest human connection, Heidi-Mari Photo & Film began as a solo pursuit of light and unspoken intimacy. Over the past decade, that singular passion evolved into a cohesive South African collective of visionary cinematographers, master editors, and dedicated documentary photographers.
We believe true luxury lies in unposed spontaneity — the tremor in a father’s hand, the wind catching lace against mountain ridges, and the breathless laughter of couples completely immersed in each other. We do not manufacture moments; we honor them as they naturally unfold.

Heidi

With 19 years in the wedding industry. Heidi is the heart behind Heidi-Mari Photography.
As our founder, lead photographer and lead editor, she is involved from the first conversation with a couple right through to the final image being delivered. She leads the team with professionalism, passion and an incredible attention to detail.
A true workaholic at heart, Heidi is always looking for ways to go the extra mile because for her, it’s never simply about taking beautiful photographs. It’s about making sure every couple feels looked after, comfortable and completely happy with their experience.
Terrence
Videographer editor
The friendly, easy-going one who will somehow end up chatting to everyone before the camera even comes out. Give Terrence five minutes with the groom and his mates and hell probably be part of the group. He’s always up for a joke, keeps the energy relaxed and has a way of making people forget they’re even being filmed.
But behind the laid-back personality is a seriously talented videographer and editor who knows exactly which moments are worth capturing, and how to turn them into a film you’ll want to watch over and over again
Nicole

Need your dress fixed? Water? Something moved? Someone missing? Nicole is probably already on it. She’s our ultimate multitasker, somehow fixing the dress. moving furniture, organising people and shooting all at the same time.
She notices everything, helps with everything and somehow always manages to keep the day moving without making a fuss. Basically, every wedding needs a Nicole.
Duney

Grounded, friendly and effortlessly cool. Duney has that calm energy that makes everyone comfortable, while somehow always being in the right place to catch the moment. She’s our behind-the-scenes girl, capturing all the little in-between moments, the laughs, the chaos and everything you didn’t even realise was happening. Basically, she’s there to make sure your wedding doesn’t just live in your gallery – it lives on your instagram too
Leané
Lead photographer
Friendly, warm and permanently armed with a bright smile. Leané is the kind of person who makes you feel like you’ve known her forever. She brings the sweetest energy to every wedding and is always ready to help, laugh and capture the good stuff.
And currently? She’s proudly living through her own bridal era, so she’s right there in the wedding excitement with you.
Lise

The youngest of the bunch and definitely the one bringing a little extra chaos. Lise is friendly, goofy and has a spark that is completely her own. She brings so much fun and energy to a wedding day, and somehow manages to turn the simplest moments into something worth capturing. She’s the one you’ll probably find laughing behind the camera, getting everyone to loosen up and catching those spontaneous little moments you didn’t even know were happening.
